Having so much coastline on Lake Michigan makes it possible to see a lot of the beautiful outdoors while never being too far away from the bustling metropolitan area.

Green Bay is home to the World Champion Green Bay Packers! Attending a game at Lambeau Field is on the bucket list of many NFL fans. If you’re lucky enough to go to a home game, check out some of the tailgating parties that happen just outside of Lambeau Field before the game. Go Pack Go!

Green Bay is world famous for being the home of the four time (going on five) National Football League champions the Green Bay Packers. Those of us who live close know that Green Bay has so much to offer.

Northeast Wisconsin Zoo


The Northeast Wisconsin Zoo (or NEW Zoo) is one of the largest zoos in the state. It’s 43 acre campus is famous for its exotic animal selection including

  • penguins
  • Japanese macaques
  • tortoises
  • the albino alligator

Additionally, the zoo presents a petting zoo for children and an aerial adventure ropes course. It’s a day (or more) of fun for the whole family!

National Railroad Museum

If you’re curious about the history of rail travel or transportation in general, the national railroad museum in Ashwaubenon is unbeatable as a educational destination. The museum, founded in 1956, features rolling locomotives that have been used both domestically and internationally.

Bay Beach

Bay Beach Amuseument Park Green Bay

Operating May through September, every local knows about what a great way to spend a summer day Bay Beach is. The lakefront park features a walking trail, and amusement park rides that, at .25 – 1.00 per ride, wont break the bank.

The crown jewel of this beautiful park is, undoubtedly, the Zippin Pippin. This roller coaster, which came to Green Bay from Memphis, TN is 2010, is one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the United States and was a favorite of Elvis Presley himself during its tenure at LIbertyland.

Coming North from Green Bay, take I-41 S to Ballard Rd. Exit on Ballard (Highway E) and head South toward Appleton. Turn Right on 00 and drive about a mile until Meade St. Turn left on Meade, and the first right turn is Longview. We’re on the right.
